Speaking to the guys at McCarrolls

They apparently have already taken 3 orders on the Abarth 500 with the first deliveries expected by October

We will apparently only be getting the Essesse model and not the standard one (which I think is a mistake in some sense - would like to the option of both) .... I did not ask about price as I was still trying to digest what it means to my 500 buying intentions.........do I go for the cheap and cheerful standard 500, do I go for the top down fun of the 500C or do I hang out for the Abarth (but it would need to be the lower powered version - so my soon to be P Plater sons can drive it legally) ??????

Looks like it is time for trip to the Fiat dealer to put in my order. I need something to replace the Jizz and a 500 abarth or 500C looks like the go. Although, I wonder how soon we'll get the new punto?
