Dad's 105 2000

Postby ladas on Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:54 pm

Dad just bought a 1972 2000 Veloce GT... B.E.A. UTIFUL. Will have pics for it soon.

Not the greatest of photos... Camera ran out of Battery, had to take the photo then turn the camera back on again within about 2 seconds... but nevertheless, it will give you an idea

Think so, even though I was there with him I wasn't there when he negotiated. He let me drive it today as well... Jeez what a difference to mine... no power steering, skinny little wipers, pedals coming from the floor and have to put it into gear slowly otherwise I get a crunch in the gearbox and a slap on my head.

Decided I will put some up tomorrow. I only took one photo with my phone and it just doesn't do its justice.

It it just a rear muffler or a full system?

I'm a big fan of 105s, I was going it buy one and bring it up to 220hp with my boss, but I brought a spider instead

I don't really know, as we only bought it 2 days ago and haven't got a chance to fully go over every detail but I am pretty sure it is a full install as I remember when I looked under the car the whole exhaust looked 'new' and thick.. maybe 2 - 2.5 inches all stainless steel. Perhaps a bit too loud as it takes away from that 'alfa note'.

If it's shiney it won't be new

Although now at work we are just starting to replace the original mufflers because they have rusted away, so 40 years isn't too bad
